Evaluation of Electrochemical Performance of Cobalt Sulphide on Various Current Collectors

In the present study, cobalt sulphide was successfully synthesised via a simple, one-step hydrothermal route. The material has been characterised infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, electron microscopy (FESEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). FTIR spectrum reveals peak at 1126 cm-1, which corresponds to S-O bending mode, 663 represents stretching. According XRD analysis, formed with CoS1.097 configuration. FESEM study that hexagonal sheets thickness of less than 100 nm have prepared are further arranged in floral pattern. Cobalt concentrations were found be proportional EDX analyses. Further, Electrochemical testing performed two-electrode setup, 6M KOH as electrolyte, various current collectors (including nickel foam aluminium foil). galvanostatic charge-discharge characteristics capacitance values compared using impedance spectroscopy other techniques.
